Nooooooooooooooooooo! :C

Anyways, I love Firefly and I haven't seen that Cowboy Bebop, but a reason why you might not like the latter one could be because it's anime? I don't really like anime, so I know I might have a bit harder time to enjoy it. But Firefly is totally enjoyable, awesome characters and awesome humour.

Firefly is by far best Sci-Fi show since B5.

Cowboy Beebop has plenty of common elements with Firefly, basic setting of bunch too good for their own good bounty hunters running around with their own spaceship while being constantly running out of money. It isn't as western themed as Firefly, but there is plenty of that too. Soundtrack is amongst the best ever in any TV-show or movie.

I hate most anime, I was just saying that I never watched firefly.

To me, anime means something like: *weirdgirlblush* ZAANYA! KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *othergirlblushandgiggle* *twoyearoldhasdumbasslook*

Again, I hate anime.

There is plenty of different types of anime. Cowboy Beebop doesn't really fit in that description.

Yeah, and that's what I was saying :P Even though the theme of Firefly and that anime series is similar, you might not like the latter one because you're like you and me and dislike anime.
And I'd also suggest you watch Firefly if you like a kind of "19th century + 21st century + 26th century"-feel.

Animated doesn't mean it will be "anime". Look at the show Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

that's what I meant by CGI style.

I think they should make a movie with Fallout puppets. Like The muppet show. Statler and waldorf could be the Courier and Boone.

You should try One Piece, it's first 50 episodes are rather childish but those were aired like 10 years ago, now it's far more mature while still having a light tone.
It's a very boyish animé, lots of cool powers, ridiculous characters and jokes and great battles.
Aaaaaand it's also very focused on making hot girls complete six icons, not in a bad sense mind you, they're real hot but their characters are way more developed than just being the main characters love interest or just acting like six objects. (The main character's love interest is meat anyway. O_o )
Try some youtube videos of them, I wasn't a fan of animé either but One Piece won me over.

Didn't have a lot of time so these are probably not the best videos especially the AMV's.
Just saying, try watching or reading One Piece, it's a great animé/manga, and you shouldn't judge something before giving it a chance. ;)

Anyway, do I want a Fallout animé that is like One Piece?
Short answer: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I wouldn't mind an animated Fallout, but it wouldn't work as an animé.

I love anime,

But if people think that most of them is about

weirdgirlblush* ZAANYA! KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *othergirlblushandgiggle* *twoyearoldhasdumbasslook*

They are very wrong

If we want something animated, it must be something like that appeal the mature audiences, and nor kid friendly

But there are different kinds of animé's, like, say the show Chuck, it isn't very similar to the show Dexter right?
Animé is filled with different genrés of it it's own, what you watched might have been a shoujo(Whaaat?) and I think those are more about "romantic" stuff.
Naruto went down the drain so I wouldn't suggest it.
And Bleach is kinda cool but also very overly serious.
But One Piece has just the right amount of humor and serious biznez.

Anyway, point is is that all animé's are different from each other, shouldn't judge one until you've seen it. ;)

Most of animation in west is made for kids, sometimes that is combined with content that kids doesn't understand but advlts do. The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy and American Dad are good example of this approach where show targets both advlts and kids. Animated movies or shows made for purely grown up audiences are very rare in west. Anime is whole different ballgame in this aspect, there is anime in pretty much every genre from romantic comedies to action, thrillers, horror and so on.

Couple examples anime that aren't really targeted mainly at teenagers or kids.

Aforementioned Cowboy Beebop:

Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, in my opinion, this is the best anime movie ever made. This is third movie in Kerberos saga, two older ones are live action. Looks of veteran rangers in New Vegas has more than little in common with police from Kerberos saga.
