If you were going to design a mutant for Fallout...

...What would it be. Describe what it would look like, and any powers it might have if any.

Mine would be a mutated mountian lion. It's eyes would glow green in the dark, and it's bite would cause severe radiation burns.

I would also make a mutated Condor that could swoop down and carry people off...

Mmmkay, so there is this scientific facility right, and during pre-war it worked on making a certain plant that works like meat, it was meant to solve mass production of meat and food crisis around the world.
But during the war the place kinda collapse, out of the ruins the plant started growing again, this plant was what everyone feared of biologically enhanced food though, it changes you if you eat it for a long period of time, mutates you and gives you an incredible sensation for blood.
So after a couple of decades it had spread across a laaaarge area, covering the land with it's blood-red plants, certain animals started taking up place here, boars, rabbits and snakes mostly.

The rabbits were of some reason attracted to these plants and started eating them and after generations of eating them they had transformed into something else, they're the size of a boar with no lips to cover it's teeth and almost shark like teeth pattern, they are big, strong and hunt in large packs.

The boars mutated differently, due to the rabbits increased size and muscles they mutated into something differently to counter it, they are vague representations of what they once were, no hair along their bodies with large back legs that they use to charge their foes with, their tusks are enlarged so that when they charge they bend down their heads and upon impact they impale their victim with their razorsharp tusks.

The snakes started eating the rabbits while they were still small, and their bodies learned quickly to mutated larger to the size of anacondas.
But size isn't everything, they needed an extra push, so they developed 6 legs to support their weight and length and two arms with claws to quickly kill it's prey.
The snakes no longer had "time" to eat their prey, they had to do it swiftly and mutated accordingly.

Hmm, maybe something like the infested Terran from SC2.

So it would kinda be like, cracked power armor with a half human/half mutant bug (more or less). It would have like fangs or a distorted head, not like ghouls but more palish, maybe blood soaked eyes and hard, cracked skin, maybe flaking. Maybe it would me missing an arm, where as the power armor that covered the arm area would be swaying from side to side as the thing limped. It might be burned underneath the power armor where the power armor and the skin have fused together, thereby making it "impossible" for the mutant to remove it. It would be zombie-ish in a way but it could still think, more than a feral ghoul for say but not as well as a dumb human. Heavy in radiation as well, when it dies it leaves a pit of radiation around it.

Man eating bunnies you say?! You mean like, THE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIsI7CwjH3M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s9nKzmbndA&feature=related?!! :bolt:

Personally I'd like to see a mutant which has an arm sticking out of it's chest holding a pistol like those mutants in http://wolfenstein.wikia.com/wiki/Mutant.

I would like a lot of different more Centaur-like mutants, you know, where humans and animals have been thrown into the FEV vats together and merged into some horrible monster. Something "The Thing"-inspired, maybe? I love that movie and lack of CGI <3

Good choices and a great movie.

There is also the centipedeman from Naked Lunch, that would be pretty cool (couldn't find any pics, though, shame) and the http://www.konsolifin.net/ylli/upload/uutiset/filmi/1253781785_thefly.jpg from The Fly (1986 version), but I guess that would delve a bit too much into the horror/Silent Hill territory.

In these blood-lands that I spoke about a bunch of tribals has set in as well, they stayed away from the vicious wildlife on higher ground.
After generations of consuming these plants they evolved into something that outsiders called "blood-men".
The tribals skin became blood-red, gained tremendous muscles, lost all body hair and has fairly long earlobes for some reason.
They're not as large as super mutants but they would certainly be able to put up a good fight in an arm-wrestle with one of them.
But there is a downside, the blood-lust.
The plants give them the food they need to not attack other living beings, but some of them wanted to explore the world.
And those that leave they still have their blood-lust with them, they need to feed on large quantities of raw flesh every day in order to survive and not go into withdrawal.
And due to this there have been reports of blood-men cannibalizing on humans.
A lot of wastelanders consider Blood-Lands to be a hostile territory and that Blood-Men are hostile, which is of course not true.
But they are still largely shot on sight by wastelanders that fear that they are next on the menu.
Blood-Men are very intelligent and calm beings, they through trading with other settlements have obtained a lot of books and are very knowledgeable about just about anything you ask them.
But they are also very non-hostile (except for those with withdrawal) and don't want to get into conflicts with anyone.
Due to this they might be exterminated by a militia which had an encounter with one of the withdrawal one's if not the PC helps them out.

Blood-Men has Bretos as pets, they're rats that have mutated into something horrible looking, imagine a walking tumor with whiskers and a long tail sticking out of it.
Bretos are used to keep away the wild-life and are also used for general pet usage, petting and playing.
