I have gotten to the Hall of Epochs in the ultimate heist thieves guild quest and am experiencing two bugs that prevent me from going any further. The button to lower the iron gates is not working. I read on UESP that I can use an alternate way to the pressure plate. I did that and shot the statue with the arrow of extrication, got the message saying it had worked, killed the two guardians but the statue did not raise to reveal a door leaving me stuck no matter what I do. Any way around this?

Yeah I have read the bugs list. It helped me get to the pressure plate but I still have the problem that the door I need never appears after shooting the arrow of extractation and hitting my target.
