So I love the fallout sniper rifle, I use it for everything from long range engagements to cqb and room-clearing. it is without a doubt my favorite gun ever.

so does anyone know what real-life gun the rifle is based off of, or anything that looks similar?

I thought for a time, 50 cal Barrett, but now... not so much.

7.62mm FN-FAL maybe? Or could be a Heckler & Koch, I don't know.

It's not really based off of anything. The only weapons that I know of that have clear ties to the real world are the chinese weapons. Even then they are a bit off (I.e. The Chinese Assault rifle is fragile, yet it's a Kalashnikov type weapon).

Which Barret 50 caliber? Barret has like over 9000 .50 guns...

No kidding, but they were the first. A neat one is their M82A2, shame they don't make them.

I was also asking what gun would make a good base for a conversion project. Similar as in placement of the mag well, trigger, etc.
