Bump, can someone help me fix the problem presented in the second pic? And give me some overall comments on the progress of the interior?

SSA, banging awesome looking so far. The int shots look sweet, but you might want to avoid using Velothi water spouts in Hlaalu interiors: the two are similar, especially with their vanilla textures, but not similar enough to clash like that, and it's going to look funky to anybody running a high res texture replacer (or at least probably).

Less of an issue but still something to consider: you are using com tapestries, you should look into de if you haven't already considered it. The Red Crystal dragon is the empire's banner. While Hlaalu does really like the empire, native dunmer banners might look better. Dunmer tapestries hang from wall-mounted sticks, common tapestries hang from wall mounts that one can assume are hung with nails.

What's the problem in the second shot? Is something funky about that case?

Want you to know I am looking forward to this.

I don't think there is a fix - both the case and tapestry use an alpha channel to allow transparency and such a problem occurs when two alphas overlay eachother. The only solution is to move the tapestry up/remove it.

Yeah, I looked through the tapestries when I was starting, and absolutely hated all of the Dunmer style ones. See, in my little gameworld, my character Galvon Rethan, and his father were both Imperial Legion Knights and Helseth's Royal Guards, so that justifies my Imperial Banners just a bit. ;) But I will include an alternate esp. with Dunmer tapestries.

As for the spouts, Hlaalu sets don't have a spout available, so I'm not so sure what to do here. The cell needs a waterfall to look tons better, as you can see in the pic that cell is full of water.

Crap, thanks for the answer though! If someone does know a fix I'd love to hear it.

You could try remapping the water spout with Hlaalu tex, then, or you could use the generic waterfall mesh and some creative placement.

If you want, I can remap the spout's mesh and send it to you if you don't know how. :P Then, you just have to create a new static, assign the new mesh as the art file, and swap them out in the cell. I don't know how well the hlaalu tex would translate onto the water spout, though.

As for the tapestries, don't sweat it. I doubt anyone else would care, and if I do end up using this mod (it looks sweet, I probably will) I'll just swap 'em out myself.

Very nice looking ints, I'm not sure about the statues but those fountains are certainly very cool.

I'm gonna keep the spouts, but a retexture might be nice. :)

Statues?

Those brown things in the middle around the pillar. If they aren't statues then what are they?

 That looks amazing, Sir-Stabs-Alot! I love the idea of a library right next to the pool - its like being able to go to the beach, but without the risk of bad weather.

...And I want to fill that pool with gems for some reason. You know, like the fountains where you throw a coin in and make a wish?

I do have a question or two though. Do you have an ETA for this? And is it only going to be for Hlaalu characters? If so, House Telvanni might have to take hostile action... :ninja:

(PS: thank you very much Kiteflyer61 for all the landscaping tips in this thread. I had no idea vertex shading was so useful  )

Very nice. I too like the idea of a pool right next to the library, it looks like a really nice place for my character to read.

@Lucevar You're quite welcome. Just passing on knowledge I got from other (mostly TR) modders. :)

This is indeed looking quite good Sir-Stabs-Alot. :goodjob:

Glad to see you're still working on it. :)

Thanks guys, and yes it's mostly a House Hlaalu themed home, but anybody could use it.

Water is steadily becoming a recurring theme in my rooms, the Banquet Hall has water in it as well. :)

As for ETA, I only mod in my free time, and my free time is pretty short these days, so I'd say next year sometime :)

The next cell I need to do is the master bedroom, and I'm trying to think of a creative way to incorporate water, does anybody have ideas?

Also, should I add more geysers to the library, or is four good enough? Make em bigger?

I'm really proud of how this cell turned out. It took a major amount of work to get the big platform with the bed on it to work properly.

Very, very nice. I;m usually a Telvanni loyalist but when this mod is released I might just play a Hlaalu character just for this mod.

If you want to incorporate water into a Master Bedroom scenario think sunken bath tub in bathroom area !
EDIT : That being said why do you want MORE water in that area ? LOL ! Nice and restful : just like snoozing in the shade by a river .
EDIT the 2nd : Where did you locate that chest texture ?( In pic 4 ) Its excellent !

Well I'm gonna make the Master Bathroom a separate cell. Yeah I asked for ideas before I made the cell  I consider the Master Bedroom pretty much finished at this point.

And I believe that texture is from the Visual Pack I think. Don't quote me on it though. :P

Woot, Beta time!

http://rapidshare.com/files/444751988/Rethan_Plantation.ESP

It's not clean, its not even close to done. But the exterior is done and the Villa itself is done except for NPCs, so I wanted to give you guys a chance to run around the outside and see the lavish house that will await you. :)

Who are the Rethans? Are they vanilla NPCs? And where at is this located? Will it conflict with anything?

The Rethans are never shown in the game, but they have the Hlaalu Manor you get for House Hlaalu. My Character's name is Galvon Rethan, so thats why I made it Rethan Plantation. :P

And it doesn't conflict with anything besides Serabul.
