Scary Thread

I like scary stuff. Not screamers, that's just obnoxious. But stuff like creepypasta and slender man, and all that jazz.

Go ahead, frighten me. Do your worst.

Scary, you ask?
Why my friend, you have come to the right place. Let Metro set you up. : D

First, some short video, of the 'wtf am I watching' variety.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsR35ORSMJ0.
And if that wasn't enough of a mind screw for one day, help yourself to some http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqzESY7SIqU.

Also, http://pseudopod.org/. Kyuuen turned me onto this site, and there are some real gems of horror fiction there. However, as the disclaimer states, not all of them are SFW, so watch your step.
I liked 'The Dark Level' particularly. And 'Counting From Ten' actually made me shut my MP3 player off a couple of times. Shudder.

There's a little Flash game I think you might like, called http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/469443. It gets more and more unsettling the farther you progress.

And, because nothing is quite so horrifying as Real Life ™, I'll just leave you with these two delightful murder cases:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hi-Fi_Murders
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_James_Bulger

I will warn you right now: these cases are NOT for people with weak stomachs. There aren't any photographs of the aftermath, but the text goes into... unpleasant detail from time to time, and the subject matter is horrifying.
Read at your own discretion.

Ah yes, greatly upset my family when it happened, he was the same age as me.

The James Bulger thing about brought me too tears.

What really confuses me is how two people could be thinking there was nothing wrong with it.

Maybe.

I still cant understand it though.

The Hi-Fi Murders bother me as well.

They really didnt have to murder the hostages, which makes me think that they did it for fun. Unless they really thought it was necessary to do it so brutally

This thread is turning just plain unpleasant and disturbing, rather than scary.

That, I think, is the worst part in both cases: they weren't motivated by greed, or jealousy, or vengeance, or any other 'common' criminal motives.
No.
They brutally murdered people for no other reason than the simple, sadistic pleasure of it.
I'm getting some shades of A Clockwork Orange over here.

Agh..those murder descriptions were agonizing to read. It's funny how horror in the real world, even when technically more tame than the fake stuff, is unbearable to even read about. Knowing that those were real innocent people...I'm depressed now. I need some Lovecraft to wash those horrid images out of my mind.
