Looking for an Overhaul mod

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 8:36 pm

Hello everyone.
I'm looking to play Morrowind again, after all the other TES games by bethesda i played.
While trying to find mods i've been overwhelmed by the number of mods\broken links\etc. & I hope to find help here.
What i'm looking for is:
Mod which requires Morrowind only, without expantions
And one that includes several mods in it, without need to download & install hundreds of seperate mods files :)
What is most importent for me is game rebalance & more RPG playstyle. Like improved thief gameplay.

whould be happy to hear suggestions.
thx.

There are no all-encompassing "overhaul" mods for MW like there are for OB. Several of the popular ones for OB were made partly as a response to the scaling issues in OB, and are actually designed to make the game work more like MW in a way. There are a couple of decent mod lists out there, but a lot of the mods, perhaps the majority, rely on either Tribunal, Bloodmoon, or both. Look or search back through a few pages of threads here; this same basic question comes up about every couple of days, and there have got to be at least 50-100 on this subject in the archives by now.

Do you have an old disc and not the GOTY edition?

If the old one then you do have some special needs and will need to check readme's in case they were made with a GOTY version which has the Tribunal and Bloodmoon functionality built in and doesn't need those expansions ticked to use that functionality

The GOTY version is really cheap and worth getting if you want to enjoy a wider selection of mods and patches - seeing as you can easily get over 100 hours gaming with the GOTy it's worth picking up.
