Deep into .esp and script construction

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 7:19 pm

Hi ladys & guys!

I'm currenty working on my diploma thesis. In that case I want to create .esp files on my own. (Without the CS)

Now, i'm hanging at the scriptfiles and time is runnig out...
It's hard to reproduce the compiled script version.

Maybe someone made it in the past?

In detail, I can't comprehend how the reference numbers are set. The Script can't be parsed from top to bottom.
I think first the "Ref." statements inside if-blocks are counted and then all that remains?! But I did not test it so far.

If there's someone who knows how to compile the scripts, please contact me.

Also i want to ask if there is a way to compile all scripts of a mod. (not the compile all button)
With all scripts i mean only the new ones. The quest scripts as well ass the result scripts.

Thanks for your attention!

Best regards,
Cyrus

PS: I hope my english isn't too bad and you could understand my request.

You might want to look at the source code for OBSE. I don't know much help it'll be since their main focus has been extending the scripting language, but most of what we know about how the compiler works is probably going to be in there.

That's a good hint. Thank you! :)
