skyrim expansions

Here's hoping. It's an open palete for them to paint upon.

Also, something like the Wizards tower in OB, but better ;)

my money is on the ides that they are. but yeah here's what i reckon would be a good one.

ok how a bout let's say after you've done the MQ whil exploring a long forgotton cave you find.....wait for it.. the necronomicon or the TES version of it.

i mean wouldent it be great to have a necromancer storyline

you could have

1. maybe have the option to become a lich
2. maybe just maybe you could meet/kill the real manimarco and take his place as a demi-god
3. also you could raise an undead army to try and take control and proclaim yourself the king/emporer of skyrim

that would be sweet

or...

you could go back to the shivering isles and if you have a save from oblivion you can maybe meet your own character

1. he could give you quests to help him stop jygalag from taking back his lands
2. just imagin the the insanity of the people with the new radient AI
3.after you've conquerd skyrim you can decide to double cross your old player kill jygalag take the shivering ilses for your self

hope you like if any one wants to here any ideas or stuff pm me :)

I was under the impression that Bethesda wouldn't make any more expansions.

well they have been focusing more on DLC than expansion so I could see this. I don't know if it was officially announced either way tho.
I prefer expansion over DLC becasue you get more for your money (but I guess that's why they prefer DLC).

Todd supposedly stated that he thought expansions took too much time and that they would prefer going for smaller DLC, such as what we got with Fallout 3.

And gnomes just don't exist in Elder Scrolls as far as I know.

What do you mean? What about Fargoth, Gaenor, Glarthir, and the Adoring Fan?
Sorry, I had to make a bad joke about that...

But I imagine that they have a base guidline on what to do with DLC, just not entirely thought out.

I've always been a fan of the Fallout 3 type expansions tht add a whole new area and quest line (like Knight's of the Nine). But I also like epic DLC, like The Shivering Isles.

Todd Howard stated that comment and Fallout 3, despite being BGS's most successful game, yet, did not get one, single expansion. I hate to say this, but I really think we're not going to get an expansion.

I hope we get something similar to Shivering Isles. I'm not saying we should go back to the shivering isles but we should go to a place where the area is huge and there's a lot to do and it has it's own main quest.

as far as we know it, is NOT a definite thing, even the last surviving Dwarf thought their might be a chance, and Lore only effects our land as we know it, facts can be changed to fit any situation, after all facts are facts only until proven otherwise, like flat earth or the sun orbiting the earth, ect,...

I do know what you mean, but I should point out that a fact that turns out to be wrong was never really a fact, just something people thought was fact.

I doubt the are making one now, they are still focused on Skyrim itself, I certainly hope Todd Howard is joking I want a full blown expansion like Solsteim (not sure if thats how you spell it) or the Shivering Isles I liked the Fallout expansions but they were nothing to TES expansions Tribunal from Morrowind was better than all of Fallout 3's add ons as well I want something the scope of the Shivering Isle and Solsteim Island!

I guess they will offer expansions. It brings money and keeps the community alive. But I hope there will be better ones than in oblivion. Just an armor set or so gets boring pretty fast.

what i think they must add for the dlc is the playable lich, if it is not already implemented into the game, it would be perfect that way, so everyone who doesnt agree with the concept of it just simply does not have to buy it, and the die hard fans of evil like me can simply buy it, everyone wins this way, and also like deepscorn lair for vampires, (which was my favorite dlc for oblivion) they could make one for a lich in a old forgotton musoleum graveyard far away in the wilderness, totally themed to a necromancer, i think this would be perfect, and know it would be highly popular, in fact if there isnt something like this in skyrim, then i will likely get bored very fast, see i need to be able to roleplay my character the best i can, meaning i need a suitable place to call home, and it just has to suit my character type, i dont want to be all good all the time thats just boring

It's not sure yet, of course, that there will be an expansion, but the last 2 games had expansions, so who knows. I hope for an expansion that adds a new landmass of Tamriel, like Tribunal and Bloodmoon did, and a good story. Atmora is also a good idea, but then they would have to give a reason why it's not (totally) frozen anymore.

Landmasses of Tamriel that are on the border of Skyrim that are possible for an expansion (of course, we can just as well teleport to Summerset Isles, but let's pressume they don't do that)
- Morrowind
- High Rock
- Hammerfell
- Cyrodiil

Hey, I did not notice this before, but TES has already been in all these provinces! Not in all parts though, so parts where we've not been yet are:

- Morrowind (except Vvardenfell) -> To early to revisit in an official expansion
- Eastern High Rock -> Easiest, landscape is more similar to the landscape of Skyrim
- Western Hammerfell -> Would also be good!

Which province would be most likely to be featured in an expansion, if we take into account the impact of the mainquest of Skyrim?
What we know, or can assume, about it:
- Skyrim weakened because of civil war and dragons, so there's an opportunity for it to be attacked
- A severely weakened empire or an empire that's gaining strength again (depending on which side wins the civil war & what the Dovakiin chooses to do)
- A few dragons might be hiding somewhere after the main quest, if I where them I would do that in the mountains (so High Rock, Velothi Mountains or Vvardenfell)

Those are my thoughts on it! What do you think?
