No worries. Here's the deal:

Depending on your storage space, you have a limited amount of saves. It's a set number however. When I went through this, it was Save #1392 which was the problem. Are you replaying the same scene over and over, thinking, "I really didn't drink that much last night..... this looks familiar...."

So, delete old saves. It doesn't matter what the Save # is. It could be #3000 for all I know, I've pushed it to #1999. There are a limited amount of save slots..... delete old saves, thus freeing up the slots for future saves. Does this make sense? I now keep a running 20 or so saves at various points, deleting old ones every two sessions or so, mainly to keep down on the lag in loading screens. :whisper: You never want to overwrite saves with Bethesda games, always make new ones.

You actually use up all available slots? Heck; I only have like 2 per character; meaning a total of 10 saves.. Sure, it's Save #1000-something, but that doesn't matter..

Another thing to check is that the date/time settings are correct. If the power has been cut those will be reset and, since your saves are ordered by the time they were created, that would make any new saves end up hidden at the bottom of the list.

thanks for the suggestions everyone.
I did move the Xbox from one room to the next when the "issue," started. Now I'm praying to Mara that the problem might be settled the with the date/time setting-HUGE!
thanks!

Bethesda is known for sometimes buggy games. It's the trade-off, I'm told, between a huge open world with many possibilities versus a more linear game. So it's always better to make a clean save. I used to always overwrite my saves, and not save enough, until my first-time, level 48 Khajitt ate the dust due to a corrupted, overwritten save, and the last save behind hours ago. Now, I am very aggressive with my saves, making sure I save a lot, and of course, everything is cool. You tempt fate by doing otherwise imo.

falchya- you were completely correct about the date/time settings. Also it proves that I'm a hell of a lot more crazy than I thought I was initially. I deleted at least 50 or more "crazed," saves last night each on about 2 minutes apart. That was and is proof that I can still throw a fit like a toddler in the toy isle of the grocery dept!

thanks falchya-you rock!
