The Holy State Of Chordian

So I've had this idea for an island nation for a few years and I have a general history of it, but I decided I would want to write some TES ff about it so I'm converting it into Morrowind speak (the only one I've ever played). so if it's not entirely lore correct please point it out and I will try and fix it. here we go...

Outlanders Arrive

First the Kiib came to the island where their boundaries were defined by the other civilizations already on the island. They claimed the entire area for themselves and through disease and conquest they eventually ran out the primitive races (for the most part). They are barbaric and have a culture based nearly entirely on tradition. They have a class system and they are very warlike. They end up in the swamp quarter with extremely rough and hostile terrain which they traverse easily. Their leader is Estatica Kiib. They are composed of beast races.

Second there was Remly, they came about 12 years after Kiib and with superior technology and numbers took a portion of the area without any fight from the Kiib, They have deep traditions that stem from their original land. Pacifistic in nature they rely on diplomacy to solve most of their problems. They settled in the plains and foothills of The Sangren Mountains, there the land is extremely fertile and they live well. Their leader is Parisis Remly. The Remly are Elves.

Next there was Cas, They came soon after Remly. They were outcasts from their original land and many among them were knowledgeable in the arts of forging and weapon and armor construction. With their well equiped army they took a third part of the area. They are warlike like the kiib, but more advanced. Their fleet landed after a long journey at the base of The Sangren Mountains, red with rust as they are rich in iron and copper and other minerals that the Cas used to create their weapons and armor. Their leader is Romosor Cas. they are Orcs and Redguards.

Last there was The Rida Revolution, members of Cas and Remly joined together and revolted to take the fourth quarter of Cordian (it isn't called Rida yet though). They have a mixed culture of the quarters they broke off from. Ridians settled in the desert area to the south, the landscape bleak and barely inhabitable except for underground springs which overflow with life. They left their land to hike through the desert hoping for paradise on the other side, but found a cave, by chance, that had been uncovered by a sandstorm and took refuge there for the night. Inside they found wondrous luminescent creatures that they followed back to the underground springs. The revolutionary leaders were in a group called the "Espon Serpents" and the name "Rida" has no known origin.

The First Atla

At first they were constantly at war, the Cas army against Remly's tactical knowledge against Kiib's and Rida's unfavorable terrain that gives a home advantage. The years of fighting were useless and all the quarters wished to end the war, having taken significant loses on all sides, but none had the courage to admit it. Now we get to the lesser Daedra of Cordian, the Atla, they call them. They were ripped from their oblivion realm by summoning of the leaders. The Atla are Daedras who are drawn to emotions and feed of them, for example (in morrowind terms) a “hatred Atla” would be drawn to one of the ashlander camps because of their intense hate for outlanders. There the Atla would want to spread as much anger as it can.

The first came to the Remly people at the will of a Daedra. A witch, on a bleak stormy night, walked up to Remly manor and confronted Parisis Remly. She seemed crazy (in fact she was crazy. compelled there by Sheogorath to spread chaos), but Parisis was desperate and had nothing to lose. The witch told him that "On the 22nd of Rain's Hand you will go down to the edge of the forest and, with a cup of fire petals and a sack of racer plumes, ask The Mother of the forest for passage. The Mother will send her children to accept your gifts, you should only fear them should your gifts be less then supple. Enter into her forest alone and unarmed and you will come across the ashen crypt of a god, ensnared by The Mother herself, though she will not hesitate to let her go, she knows you're intentions are pure. This being is kind and will help you win your war." After telling Parisis this, the witch disappeared. Parisis was reluctant, but when the day came he gathered his courage and did the tasks.

Two Spriggans met him at the forests edge to collect the gifts. He told his men to stay behind and lit a torch. They were reluctant to let him go, but they didn't want to enter either. 20 yards in his torch was extinguished and the forest closed behind him. It was impassible from either side so parisis, knowing he is dead either way, kept walking inwards. He walked for what seems like hours until he finally found the crypt. Covered in vines and extremely weathered, Parisis had no doubt that it was extremely ancient. Walking towards it everything around him springs to life. Oddities of all kinds appear in the shadows to watch him and the crypt. Two feet away from the tomb it cracks, piercing the silence, and jets of mist start to shoot out of the cracks. Parisis fell back and turned to hide behind a tree, but strange creatures transfixed on the crypt blocked his path. With a loud crack the tomb finally broke open, but nothing was inside. Parisis began to think; perhaps the witch had directed him here because he was to be entombed inside! He sprinted out and ran in the direction he came. Eventually he broke into day light and his men, who were waiting nervously, greeted him and tended to him. He was so shaken up and disturbed by his failure that he would not tell any of his men about what happened in the woods.

But a being DID escape from the tomb that day. An Atla, one that stood for and fed off of peace, tranquility and happiness, poked its head out of the rubble after everything had cooled down. It was a small furry white creature with a curios face. It had black marks around its eyes and on its small hands and feet. The surrounding creatures started to move in on the Atla, attracted by its natural aura. At first it was dazed, having just woken up after centuries of sleep, but as it snapped out of its confusion it make a small “meep” and ran for the edge of the forest. Though it seems cute and harmless, the Atla have a few forms from which they can choose, and some are deadly. As well as it’s control over happiness allowing it to completely demoralize or rally any person or creature at its whim.

sorry if it sounds pretty bad so far, I'm more of a story guy so writing this concisely is kind of painful :( I keep trying to turn it back into a narrative and it just doesn't work >_<
