The life of a Nord

My story begins with a young Nord, named fjotreid (pronounced F-yo-treed). His father (lets call him Gromm, no relation to the bodyguard, I just like that name.) was a commander in the army of skyrim and always wanted his son to share the same passion of combat as he did. But Fjotried never did, on Fjotreid's 17th birthday Gromm retired from the army and he and his son moved to cyrodil (his mother died giving birth to Fjotreid so she wont be joining them).Gromm bought a house in bruma, there he hired fighters guild trainers to train Fjotreid in combat. After three years of harsh training Gromm asked Fjotreid to join the fighters guild, and not wanting to hurt his fathers feelings he did. His first contract was assigned to him from cheydinhal, so his father bought him a horse and sent him on his way. Fjotreid journeyed there and after a 3 day trip of endless horse riding and nights in inns along the way he arrived in cheydinhal. after asking a local where the building was located he went there, and he bought himself a suit of armor and a battle axe from the guild smith with the money his father gave him (yes Gromm is loaded).

Then a Orc named Burz gro-khash gave him his assignment, it turns out that 3 fighters guild members were hired to clear out Desolate mine of goblins that invaded and slaughtered the miners working there, but the goblins were better fighters than they thought and the soldiers where overwhelmed and retreated. Fjotreid was ordered to bring weapons to the soldiers and assist them in clearing the mine. he loaded the weapons on his horse and had a local tell him where the mine was. When he arrived there he went inside and found the soldiers, after re-arming them they launched the attack, he ran ahead of the other soldiers and came face to face with a mace weilding goblin, this is his first fight that included sharpened weapons but his training proved useful. He deflected the first blow and with a quick strike to the neck he decapitated the goblin , during the attack he and the soldiers slew many more goblins and his armor was taking many hits .After the battle was over he and the other soldiers were soaked with blood, he left the cave and walked to a pond near the mine. he undressed and walked into the water letting the blood wash off of him. After he got dressed he walked back to his horse and loaded his armor on it he mounted the horse and headed back to cheydinhal.

It is dark now as he arrived at cheydinhal, he got off his horse walked over to the stable and rented a stall for the night ,He took his armor and went to the fighters guild building. First he went to Burz gro-khash and received his earnings and walked down to the basemant to get his armor repaired .As he watched the smith heat up and hammer the armor back into shape he became fascinated. He asked the smith if the next day he could watch while the smith repaired other damaged armor and the smith was willing. After the smith was finished repairing his armor Fjotreid walked back upstairs he chose a room to stay in and undressed and went to sleep.

this is still a work in progress, feedback is welcome.

You'd probably be better served slowly releasing the backstory of your characters throughout the story your telling as it goes along, rather than giving all the information up front.
