It doesn't work like that, unless you would like them to completely stop work on Skyrim and work on a DLC for a game that isn't played as much anymore. I suggest exploring the wasteland if FO3 is getting boring, or maybe starting a new game with skills that you didn't pick before. Try and find all of the locations, maybe, but waiting on Beth to make a new DLC is like waiting for dinosaurs to come back, it just isn't going to happen.

If you're on PC, you have content equivalent to dozens of DLCs at your fingertips if you just look for it.

This is like asking a serial killer to stop killing. Its not going to happen, even though Fallout 3 has a large fanbase, they have moved onto Skyrim, RAGE, and New Vegas.

Well, actually they've only moved onto Skyrim. Obsidian is handling New Vegas and ID is handling RAGE.

Either way, they've moved on from Fallout 3. Thetr hasn't been anything new since the GOTY was released and the GOTY is usually the last thing they do with a game (The Fighters Stronghold for Oblivion was an exception, but work on it had bee started long before the GOTY came out)

The only way you're going to get any new content for FO3 is by getting the PC version and trying out what the modding community produces. As mentioned, FO3 is yesterday's news, and Bethesda's developers have moved on to other projects.

That's just the way it is in the game industry.
