QUOTE: i really like the writing, and you appear to have a similar problem to mine when writing fan-fiction (seemed like a lot of actiony stuff not much of the really emotional stuff)
Maybe so... there certainly are a lot of powerful emotional undercurrents, both in the Lamplighters themselves (such as Biwwy's loneliness, Princess's bitter resentment, and Macready's fierce protectiveness of his friends) and in the events that take place in the story (Macready's self-sacrifice and Bryan's reunion with his aunt, to name a couple). I might not have been the best in the world at bringing all that to life. Still, it's hard to imagine most of the Lamplighters getting all uber-emotional. One of the most confusing aspects of the F3 world is the juxtaposition of the tough, can-do attitude prevalent in Little Lamplight with the hopeless and angst-ridden citizens of Big Town. Maybe if Macready had lasted long enough to turn 16, he'd have whipped those bozos into shape.
QUOTE: anyway I love what you did to the slavers karmic role-reversal FTW
Seemed like poetic justice to me. Say what you want about my preference for action over emotional stuff, I like to think that I came up with a satisfying ending for each of the characters and factions I used. As well as the Lone Wanderer as I ususally play him.
QUOTE: Awesome bit of self-awareness, and adopting Princess to be his heir, well all can say is they deserve each other.
Yes... Annie and Daddy Warbucks, with a slightly sinister twist. If I was ever going to write a follow-up fanfiction about any in-game characters featured here, it would feature these two: the King of Tenpenny Tower, and his young princess.
Truth be told, though, I was also considering having Dylan (from the supplemental stuff) ultimately become my Courier, but I ultimately decided to create a new one. A female this time, named Jasmine Bluemoon. With any luck, you'll meet her soon enough.
