It's on the virge of kind of good fun wise, and not good at all...engine/mechanic wise (not for everything of course). The world isn't as big as Oblivion, I haven't gotten that far but that's what I've read. It's big enough though for me at least, if you need a horse to make travel faster because it takes forever to get somewhere, then the world is big enough. You can leave the main quest and explore, but a lot of the enemies/dungeons are a higher level than you are so it's quite tough..at least in the first 4-5 hours. The stealth system is simplistic at best, and basically if the enemy isn't turned around, he'll see you if you're sneaking.

It's not worth $60, for me at least. It's worth $30 though.

I still laugh at how the first was "Oblivion on steroids"

I'll get the second once it falls below 30.

It's fairly diverse, there's a desert savannah type area and then the ocean (that actually has fish swimming in the water)..but I haven't gotten farther than that yet. You can see towers and towns off in the distance, stuff that looks ancient, although I don't know if you can explore those or not. There are tombs and the one I was in is completely dark and you need a torch to move anywhere, made combat really interesting. There's also ruins scattered in the area (desert type ruins) and caves. Towns remind me a lot of towns in Assassin's Creed.

Note that the only reason I said it's fairly diverse is from what I've read about the game.

cool I might pick it up.

the first one was woefully bad. I played 5 mins of the demo before deleting it, thouhg I may DL it again.

it wasnt the game it was the engine... if running/jumping and combat is gonna be this unfullfilling and choppy.. no amount of good storytelling will save it.

It's a little late to be an Oblivion killa, don't you think? I mean, the game has been out for a few years now. If games are still trying to catch up to Oblivion then that's just sad.

Combat is kind of wonky, sometimes you'll aim at the guy and swing and miss. Running is better and horse control is okay if you get the catch to it. People say the ship controlling is good. Combat isn't as good as it is in Oblivion or a more polished game of this sort.
