Gunpowder in TES

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 10:46 am

Very true again.

As for the gunpowder, I'd rather stay away from guns and whatnot. I'm not saying that they are a detriment to lore, but I wouldn't want to see them in-game.

[censored], the satchels could be more advanced than the explosives than we have. This doesn't realy have to do with dwemer though, as Prowler said they had bigger ideas. I'd just as soon give credit for gunpowder to the Nords or Redguards, in all honesty.

He gives Divayth Fyr some company

But more on topic, I know the dwemer were able to make their robots fire guns. You have to fight them in the Tribunal expansion, and their ammo is classified as darts. Not to mention those robots hurt a lot

I haven't played Tribunal for a while, so I'm not sure if they use a built-in crossbow device or explosives to propel the darts.

Of course, the Dwemer also had Satchel Packs, and they seemed to fit the bill of something like gunpowder but weaker than dynamite.

Nords? I don't recall finding or hearing anything about the Nords discovering gun powder, I think that is attributed to the Redgaurds or the Dwemer.

The thread isn't about SHOULD they be added, but rather the possibility of gunpowder itself existing in the TES universe.

I'm not arguing who purposely/accidentally made it, I'm saying I couldn't care less who did.

No they wouldn't, because then you end up with a game like Fable 2 :(

The darts fired in the Tribunal expansion could always be fired via steam power as well.

Didn't mean anything by it; I thought he believed he was using an actual word  . You're right though.

Of course, no one has one of these.

Edit: And seeing the way that fight went, the DRAGON needed the black powder weapon. Killed by four hits from a rapier heated to 130 degrees F.

I was speaking of Richton, but the Dragon would be pretty novel to have too I supose. Yeah, he was stabbed in the weak point for maximum damage.

The zeppelin, on the other hand, was stabbed by a dagger for massive damage.

Do you mean the blimp/airship/zeppelin/dirigible, or do you mean the admiral? Because I might mistake him for one.

Really? I though that was N'gasta-- just tie a string to his tail, and inflate him a little with some helium, and nobody would know he wasnt macy's day balloon.
