I will answer your question by saying that I have not given up on life but being a military man means that I am and have always been ready to die as I have always been content with my lot in life.

This doesn't sit right. They wouldn't have killed whoever voted for Jack if Jack was a wolf, because they would know that we would find that suspicious. Unless of course they thought about that, and they're actually using it to throw suspicion off of Jack, and he really is a wolf. Or they could have thought of this and...
