True distances of Tamriel

I know I already replied to this post, but I just remembered I had made this http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/3397/tammorvvarat2.jpg to understand the relationship between Tamriel, Morrowind, and Vvardenfell. (Since it's sometimes confusing.)

it'd be neat if the next TES game was set on more than one province.

I've always thought that TESV would send the player to each of the provinces mentioned in Oblivion as being in trouble. The player could visit any of these provinces in any order he wished (ala KOTOR's planets). Once problems in the last province were resolved there would be a cutscene (or my personal preference: a lavish and expensive Busby Berkely musical dance number) in which the new Emperor or King is installed on the throne. Those references are just too suggestive to be accidental, in my opinion. But we'll see...

OH MY GOD IT ALL MAKES SENSE

*spontaneously combusts*

Well, obviously it's not an issue for lore scholars; but when you have to explain for the twentieth time that Morrowind isn't an island...

For sure. If you want the accessible areas to be as large as in KOTOR, too...

I still want them to just make it so the next game connects with Oblivion. I'm pretty sure porting Oblivion to the new engine they'd use would be easy peezy. Then they'd be able to market it as the current game and "Ultra compatibility with previous TES Oblivion!" Then people could screw around on Cyrodil AND the new area.

Heck they could get a small crack team converting morrowing and market the largest single player game ever made.

After that a few small edits to make it so you could have a buddy or two come play with you and they'd outsell most games on the market.

But...that's just me bringing up the obvious quick ways to get money and good reviews. It'll be overlooked and never done.

It's not gonna happen. But I'd love it; honestly, it's an idea that has fascinated me since Clouds of Xeen/Darkside of Xeen (if you had both games they combined together, adding extra quests and other content in the process).
