Incase you go to UESP, some of the user made quests for Daggerfall are bugged. All of the COMPUSA quests were fine so far, but some of the user made quests have bugs, one of them quest breaking. This is after installing the quest fixes that are listed on the website.

A mage guild quest that sent me to test a "New spell" didnt give me a necessary item to use.
Another mage guild quest didn't have the quest item in the dugeon, and for some reason after the quest time expired it was succesful anyway and I got the reward
A Dark brotherhood quest wouldnt tell me when I had killed all the thieves necessary and even if it said I would get a reward, there wans't anything.


I think the quick solution is to only install the compusa quests. You can also test everything and delete the buggy quests, since their files are listed but that sounds like a ot of work. Just letting everyone know

I've never had any problems with any of the commoner, thieves guild, or temple quests - but I'll take your word for it. It's best to make an alternate save before accepting a quest just in case it bugs. Did you try re-attempting it?

Actually most of the official quests (including the CompUSA ones) are also more or less bugged but many of them were fixed by either Donald Tipton or PLRDLF. User-made quests can be somewhat buggy but this is unrelated to DFQFIX or Donald Tipton's fixes since they concern only official quests.

I tried the first two quests twice, though it was by reloading the game and not by finding the quest again. By the third one I was just tired , I got all those in a row.
