Like pushing a cow out of a helicopter at 3500 in the air? (It's illegal in Alaska but no other state.)

Calm down NullChampion. I'll call you by both names just for the heck of it ^_^. Anyway, we get 3 agressive abilities (class specific) right? Like 3 medic specific abilities at a time? Because life buff lvl 3, Laz nade, and self revive would take all mine and I would miss out on the quicker ability recharge. :sadvaultboy: I wish it were 4 abilities......

Exedore or Badman on the Splash forums said that the 24-hour testing period is out. If you get a skill and no longer want to use it, you have to go down a level to get the skill point back. I'll post a link when I find it again.

Edit: Found the source.

http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23738

It's post number 15. For those who don't wanna take the link, Exedore states

"Credits for abilities are one per level, and there is no trial period. Abilities can be completely reset for the hefty price of subtracting one whole level."

I understood it to be 3 active abilities and unlimited passive abilities. Not sure which ones are which here though... :spotted owl:

Whoa. I guess that was changed so that you would need to research what ability would fit your playing style best, and so that you wouldn't abuse the system if you didn't like it.

What does he mean by "abilities can be completely reset"? Do you just get back all of your skill points then?

That's what it sounds like, not too sure though.

The old system would have been abused. Once you get an ability point, you could just keep testing out the abilities that interest you, and once you find the ones that fit your playstyle the best, you would never desire to use any of the other abilities that SD had worked so hard on. They want you to experiment and not stay in your comfort zone.

The next ability you take might help you level up faster.

Yea, but levels gain you new stuff and ability points. True they are numbers, but not just numbers.

You can have x amount of passive based on your level.

Hm, if there are truly only 10 abilities per class (and universal), and these pictures are accurate, then it would appear that there is no "level 3" of anything, but only level 2 for a select few abilities.

Only time will tell. Could have sworn I head the devs say something about level 3 abilities.
