Scaling Meshes in Nifskope and collision

I've been trying to scale some meshes in Nifskope by more than 2 and I know how to do that. The meshes show up in the CS and in game fine, but the collision doesn't get scaled and the objects are very hard to place in the CS, presumably because the CS still sees the selectable area as the original size. I know you can create a collision mesh in Blender (though I don't know how yet) but is there any way to get all this working properly in Nifskope?

Secondly, is there a tutorial somewhere that explains all about collision - when it's needed, how it works etc. Most modelling tutorials don't mention it at all.
