Ok, so in one of my forerays into the game recently, I notice that something everyone that plays the game will see. They are probably about the most recognizable pictures there are, but they are also some that I dont think anyone has ever attempted to update, the original splash screens.
Regardless of how you play the game, unless you replaced them entirely, you will see them. Despite this, they have never, to my knowledge, been updated with new textures.

So, are there any talented artists out there that could rectify this? I dont just mean new pictures of the creatures in the same poses(the originals havea sort of charm to them) with updated textures in the same style as the originals, I mean also combining the new pictures with sketchs like the original splash screens do. I couldnt say how thankful me and alot of other people would probably be for something cool like this were someone to do it.
So is there anyone who can? This is obviously going to require someone with a bit of artistic experience.

I don't know if this is close to what you're looking for, but I use http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7776&id=7219. They are higher res versions of the original splash screens that fit widescreen monitors. They look awesome. :goodjob:

Another vote for Nzdawghaus's splash screens. They are very faithful to the originals, and are perfect for widescreen monitors.

I created a thread about this last week, it should have been easily found with a quick search for "splash screens".

Ok, I have no idea how I missed that. I have been actively paying attention...I know how I missed it, I ignored it because it said widescreen. I actually did search though, obviously I didnt do it well enough. I will have to expand my search next time.(I feel a bit dumb, technically, my screen is wide screen as its above the 4:3 ratio but isnt really quite there as its ratio is the oddball 4.66x3(1400x900) so I have never considered it as widescreen)

Upon looking at it, looks good, at least the new ones, he didnt update the textures of the old ones though. Apparently the forum link didnt work for me though, so he may wanna fix that.
