If you mean a demo, than no. After all it doesn't work well for Open-Ended RPGs.

A facebook game? No. Just no.

A little game like iPhone RAGE? There is no reason not to, but I'd rather not have it.

Something like Dead Space's [censored] comic / puzzle game that EA released on PSN and XBL? No, jeez... Let them focus 100% on the maingame to deliver the best.

What about a character creator? (wouldn't expect this for a few more months) Allowing us to save a few character models for game use upon realease. This way, for people who like to spend a lot of time designing their character, can use the character they've designed already, and jump right into the game.

A neat idea, but unnecessary. I'd rather be surprised by the new character creator once I get the full game.

The only reason iPhone RAGE exists is because id tech 5 is an EXTREMELY scalable, and from what I have seen, one of the best, potentially topping Crytech in graphics, and stomping all over it in compatibility.

I would prefer something that the developers of the STALKER games did; have a design a quest competition.

I suppose they could do like in some games where they have a kind of demo episode that's completely separate from the main game. They could create a small world with a handful of items and NPCs and one or two quests to let players get a feel for what the game is like. It wouldn't be unheard of but it's not likely. It sure would be nice though.

If you want to play a demo, go to PAX or E3, they will probably have one there.

There are pregames. They are named:

The Elder Scrolls: Arena
The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Battlespire
The Elder Scrolls Legends: Redguard

and some cell phone games. :P

Actually, that's a great idea, it could work somewhat in the same way Fable 2 Pub Games did, buy it, or get it for free ( ? ) in the Marketplace, or whatever that PS3 thing has, and download it, and launch it and use it just to create and save character models, I would love to be able to spend months and months making the absolute perfect character.

Oh and by the way, are there, and if not, when will there be screenshots of the newly redone Argonian and Khajiit? Or is that just not known at all.

No demos , no Character Creations etc , I means a small little quest like a Preambolus , a Introduction to the main events , something like for example done with that game for xbox I cant remember the name now .. anyway a short small game concerning the upcoming one , and eventually gain some xp or coins or something to use may be later ...

I turn 21 the month before release so I'll definitely be pre gamin :foodndrink: But seriously, Two Worlds had a demo released where you couldn't save and were restricted to the beginning chunk of the map. Even tho that game was very flawed it was a fun free way to spend several hours. Bethesda could do something like that but I doubt it, the GI updates are drawing lots of attention and no gameplay vids have even come out...They're already doing plenty to market their game aka make TES fans and oblivion lovers happy with news they want to hear

I would say no to a demo as well, since I think that would take away too much from actual game development.

Is something like what they did for Wolfenstein what you mean? (playing the old version prior to release and gaining a monetary bonus for use when the new game is released)

XP and coins are something that might help a bit, but what's more important? Saving time during character creation, so you can bring your character into the world as soon as you launch for the first time... or starting out with a little extra xp and/or money that you're going begin accumulating once you play anyway.

Would love a Character Creator. I can sit and twiddle the controls for hours and hours to make it just right. Instead of ending up with a first character that I'm not satisfied with due haste of getting started with the actual game.

A Demo could be limited to Character Creation and the Tutorial Dungeon. When you have the full game you just load up the Demo save and gaming starts.

Character creator would be cool but it be nice for them to be able to have any asset ready to be utilised and corrected in house instead of us just getting a cheap fix and them sticking with that cuz a few thousand people already have a character.

I would be shocked if there was a demo at pax east. We'll be lucky to even get a trailer from that event.
