Texture error

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 1:38 pm

Hey

Ok i have created a mesh and have added textures to it.

Ok so i load up the game and go to where it is and say i shoot it, it makes the texture that actual projectile dds texture.

So i drop a vault 101 jump suite and it display's the dds textures for the jumpsuite?

Whats wrong?

Have i mapped it wrong?

Thanks Persidon

That usually is a sign that the texture was not created correctly.
What DXT did you save it as, and how many Mip Maps did you give it. 4 mip-maps is a good default value.

Its part of the save information in Photoshop. There is a check box for using Mip-maps, and a box so you can enter a number that you want.

If this was a texture set, this happens when the game cannot find the texture in the correct game folder.
If its on a mesh, the texture must exist inside the proper Textures folder.

Read post #4, second paragraph.
Ask if you don't understand it.

You need to give more information on what you did and where your NIF and DDS files are.

If you are using GIMP and you are ready to save your texture, you should be selecting File --> Save As. Then a save window should pop up, near the bottom is a line that looks like this:
'+ Select File Type'

Hit the '+' and click on dds, then when you hit the save button you should get another window that lets you choose the compression type from a drop down box and there is a check box here as well that, if checked, will generate mipmaps. If you don't see this, then perhaps you have not installed the dds pluggin for GIMP.

Do you have archive Invalidation Invalidated installed or did you toggle invalidation with FOMM?
