It's a scientific fact. I'm an average male and I'm way stronger than the average female my age.

I'm an average male and I know a female 4 inchs shorter than me that's stronger than me, and just 2 years older.

ANYWAY, in all games, if possible, I exclusively use girls.

Our characters aren't average.

The important word in that sentence is average. PCs aren't supposed to be average people.

Ain't that the truth?

I can slaughter all the imperial soldiers in the IC and tons of Daedra

Makes me wonder how I got caught and tossed in jail in the first place

Especially considering that, given TES's skill progression, you'd be at your most formidable at lv.1.

As a [hopefully in-the-future published] writer. I like to create "characters". Some are female, some are male. So, in video games it never makes a difference to me.

I'm not one of those guys that stopped playing Metroid when they found out Samus was a chick. I just said "Wow, a girl that kicks ass!" And kept on playing.

Well, Samus is a kick ass women, who isn't running around in bikini-ware, bouncing F cup briasts, and a katana (or what people are lead to believe as a Japense doom blade of ultimate destruction and awesome). She's in a full metallic suit (well, most of the time) with a giant phallic blaster on her right arm :P .

Basically, she's what kick ass action heroines should be like, not some scantily-clad woman with D cups who likes to jump around a lot, act extremely flirty or yells why everyone is staring at her chest/butt while wearing said strings thus giving very little to the imagination. But instead she's has a very dominating presence, and wears armor that could take a broadside shot to the gut.

I'm male and always play as a female because I can somehow relate more to cheeky women than muscular men.
I'm actually a some kind of male feminist who think the world would be better if it was ruled by women.

Exactly Hellmouth! And I don't get why people play chicks to try and see a piece of virtual ass. The females I create in games and stories are not [censored]s who get with anyone for a skooma fix!
They are just as bad ass as any male character I would play. Like Samus form Metroid or even Zoey from Left 4 dead.

I agree with you. Those are in my opinion usually the coolest female characters. :)

No, when I play RPG's I even have a little system when creating characters to avoid falling into the same pattern.
If I start creating my first character having a male/evil/stealthy in mind, the next time I make a female/opportunistic/mage, or a male/good/fighter or whatever.

Besides, in Oblivion I remember "The Siren's Deception" quest having a slightly different plot if you play a different gender.
Even if gender has little or no influence in Elder Scrolls games (apart from clothing), it's still fun to have some variation on your second or third playthrough.

In future games I would really love to see more attention going into the gender difference, since it are such details that can make a game come alive.
