[REQ]A new grass type

Hello,

I don't know if this modder resource is widely known, but it is really worth looking :

As the description says, this grass is only a modder's resource, so it's not actually in-game. Now, here's my question - is it possible to use this grass with MGE? I really like MGE's one, but theres only very tall grass available, and this could add more variety to the grass options, and it's really nice looking one. I don't know how to implement it in-game and get working with MGE, so here is my question - is somebody capable of doing this? I will provide as much help as I can.

It doesn't look like the meshes will really work that well in MGE - they are made up of three nested cylinders, so viewing from above will look like grass donuts. The textures are relatively low res (256x256), but could be adapted to work with the existing multi-plane meshes now employed for MGE animated grass. Any texture can be used with those meshes as long as the UVW map is adjusted properly, and can even be adjusted in such a way to shorten the apparent height of the grass (the mesh planes are transparent, so as long as the texture is designed correctly with an alpha layer for transparent background it should map well).

Note that MGE requires a specific type of base texture clamp mode (WRAP_S_WRAP_T) for the NiTriShape >> NiTexturingProperty in order for the grass to render correctly for animation. FWIW these meshes do specify that.

I've tried those grasses, and they didn't look too hot with what I had at the time. I'm certainly no expert on the subject, though.

Actually they look quite bad IMO, won't number why since Tetchy covered it all. Anyway, nor the texture nor the mesh is worth messin with.
