Bliss vs Crucible

Which was your favourite and why?

For me, it was Crucible. Despite the fact that I prefer the gloomy style to the manic one, it felt more twisted and convoluted than mania, which felt a bit... boxy? Also, it's somewhat bigger.

Another thing. Anyone else ever wonder why Dementia and Crucible are bigger than Mania and Bliss?

I like them both, but give the nod ot Crucible and Dementia over Bliss and Mania. I think the manic vibrancy is almost a little too cartoonish.

I guess it might have something to to with the fact that a larger space better allows the open, desolute and bleak feel that is so well conveyed throughout Crucible and Dementia. I think the fog, gray and large spaces help make it work. The smaller spaces, clear skies and vibrant colors of the other portions of SI just seem more. . . manic? Lol.

I picked Crucible. Crucible reminds me more of home.

You can't have one without the other. It's all about the contrast. But I think Crucible does its job better, it's more depressing than Bliss is crazy, if you see what I mean.

Crucible. I swear, next time a Golden Saint looks at me again I will rip out her heart and shove it down her throat :flame:

Although I like the liveliness and colour in Mania and Bliss, Crucible and Dementia are much more befitting of my tastes. The people in Mania are often times more frightening, because they are like those people who smile and feign happiness all the time, but then one day they just snap and murder someone; at least in Dementia, the people are brutally honest about the fact that they just might kill you right from the start...

Oh, and the Golden Saints are too stuck up for my tastes--the Dark Seducers are always more willing to serve.

Oh, this is so true, of course. It wouldn't be the same without one or the other. And I also agree about the other point made here as well.

Yeah, well, you're biased.

Me? I prefer the vibrance of Mania, so I place my vote for Bliss.

Bliss. I love the colour, people and overall feel of the place. Oh, and it doesn't lag as much as in Dementia.

Crucible. Any time I get to jump around on rooftops is a plus. Reminds me of Ye Olde Thief II mission Life of the Party/The Uninvited Guest.

10/10 for shivering isles based thread/poll.

I voted crucible... the midnight fight club is awesome to watch with a couple of beers.

cutter does better weapons than the orc smith... madness claymore = win.

jumping on the rooftops = win

I chose Bliss, it's just so bright and pretty! But I do love the winding crooked streets of Crucible.

I'm going to have to go visit Shivering Isles. These Crucible and Bliss places sound interesting.

And Lady Syl isn't?

I'm starting to wonder what Sontaire would have been like as a Crucible resident. Ouch!

It was close, but I chose Bliss because it's just so pretty! Plus, if I were to live in the Shivering Isles, I'd rather live in a place that is a bit crazy than a bit depressed. They're both awesome though, and I have to say I like the Dark Seducers over the Golden Saints, just coz they look cooler :P
