advice on good energy weps...and alien power modules

Ok so I've fallen in love with energy weapons...especially with EVE installed.

I recently started the Zeta DLC and realized half way through that the alien power modules I was collecting were a limited resource. (Only just got into FO3 so everything is still new to me) This makes me kinda sad because I was hoping to use some of my weapon mod kits on perhaps the Alien Disintegrator. Seems a shame that although the WMKits work with the Atomizer and Disintegrator, the ammunition is a finite source.

I also have the Echo Battery Charger mod, but it only has support for alien power cells, not modules. Did some hunting and am considering installing the Robco Battery Recharger as it seems to support the modules as well.

Aside from the 2 mods above, are there any other ways to acquire the alien power modules as a regular source of ammunition? I'd prefer not to have to resort to using the console to adding the ammunition (besides not even knowing how to) because although Beth intended the ammo to be a limited resource, I'd still rather try and have a more "ingame consistent" method. If that makes sense.

So atm, I have collected the

Laser Pistol and Rifle
Wattz 1000 Pistol and 2000 Rifle
Gauss Rifle from OA, is very purty but has extremely small magazine capacity, even with mod kit
Plasma Pistol (haven't come across a rifle yet)
Alien Atomizer and Disintegrator

Are there any among these that particularly stand out as being "better" than the others? In light of the ammunition source and 2 mods above?

Are there any other energy/plasma weaps that I'm not aware of that are even better and that can be modified with weapon kits?

Because this is all new to me, I'm hoping to get some advice on whats out there and what other people find to be "the best" or at least worthy of using the weapon modkits on?

You can obtain many unique energy weapons from solving different quests and such. These are some of the weapons I like particularly well:
- Protectron's Gaze (unique laser pistol that fires five laser beams from one energy cell).
- A3-21's Plasma Rifle (upgraded plasma rifle - one of the strongest weapons in the game).
- Wazer Wifle (a special laser rifle with more damage and larger magazine).
- Metal Blaster (a unique laser rifle and very powerful. Requires The Pitt DLC).
- Tesla Cannon (almost a BFG of Fallout 3... requires Broken Steel DLC).

Wow Echo...that's something that I didn't reckon with. Wasn't expecting that at all. And thank you in advance for making the change. Would much rather use your mod as I already have it installed and like it a lot. I'll keep my eyes peeled for when the change goes through. Most appreciated. I hadn't gotten around to endorsing your mod yet but will deffo do that.
