Need a little help

Hi, I have a small problem involving NPCs. There's a line that stretches out from them from a couple NPCs. It's not too common, but I always run into a few of them every time I play. What is it? How do I fix it?

Ive included a picture and load order below.

Plus if you see anything wrong in my load order, like any extra plugins that I don't need or shouldn't have let me know.

You most certainly need to rid yourself of 05 Francesco's Optional New Creatures Add-On.esm.
This file is never used with any any FCOM configuration that includes MMM..
Refresh yourself with the mod requirements by reading the opening post of the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1085113-relz-fcom-convergence-and-ufcom-relz/
There's a few others in there that should be either moved or deleted.
Use BOSS, run your load order and address the issues it reports.
The "stringy" effect is from Slof's Robe Trader. It's a long time issue, but not experienced by all users. :blink: Leaving your current cell and reloading your game should fix the problem - until the next time.

I think the bashed patch tweak with for the beast skeleton swapping thing is supposed to help with this issue...

Jepp, that's what I see as well. Again the tail bones are missing for this NPC. Slof's Robe Trader came with a skeleton replacement for the tail-less skeleton to also give it tail bones, but this seems to be common to be replaced by another mod install some time later.
Either create a copy of your skeletonbeast.nif to replace your skeleton.nif with it or use this fix from the bashed patch, likely giving all NPCs beast skeletons.

I tried the Wrye Bash tweak and it appears to have worked. I ran around for a couple hours today it didn't see the problem once.

No one really explained what's happening in any great detail, so here goes. There are two types of skeleton meshes used by NPCs in the game, skeleton.nif and skeletonbeast.nif. The skeletonbeast.nif mesh is used by races with tails, like the Khajiit and Argonians. When you create a new character in the CS though, the default mesh that's used is skeleton.nif. Some people forget to switch the two meshes however and end up using the default one for the tailed races. That's what causes those abnormalities you're seeing. It's the textures that are supposed to be attached to the tail trying to bind themselves somewhere, but there's nothing for them to attach themselves to. So they end up going all haywire. It's a pretty common thing to overlook when someone creates a new NPC.
