I've been away from MW for a couple of years & I see many new developments have taken place since then. Right now, I'm seeking a detect traps mod that compliments the Hidden traps feature in the MW Code patch. I'm reluctant to enable that feature of the patch unless there is another way to detect them. Does anyone know of such a mod?
I've recently looked into how to detect trapped objects from script, and my conclusion was that it's impossible to do so with the current tools available, including MWSE. The only scenario in which I could come up with a way to detect traps was when you've already sprung them (using GetSoundPlaying on the door or chest).
I might have missed something, but to me such a mod seems impossible to make using conventional methods.
