Hello, I am a little confused regarding the release date of Brink! For the last two months, I have been under the impression that Brink was to be released on May 17th, 2011. The five stores in which I have kept up to date on the release date have been, Bestbuy.com , walmart, D2D, Gamestop, and Steam. For some reason during this past week, I noticed that on BestBuy.com, it states that Brink is to be released one week earlier, May 10th, 2011. I have called several stores, and all of them have told me this. But as for Gamestop and others, they still hold to the May 17th date. What is the reason for the confusion? Has anyone else come across similar issues?

Splash Damage themselves have said the game comes out the 17th of May in the US, and the 20th of May in the EU/UK

It's probably a glitch in their database, neither Splash Damage nor Bethesda Softworks have suggested a change in the release date.

they had a date that was late (like 31st) and then they changed it to a date thats too early. the stores you called probably just looked up the date on their computers and got the same date the website says so they don't know what their doing. i'm sure they'll just mail them out when the get the game in themselves.

Totally this. Trust the devs they know what they are talking about.

I pre-ordered a while back, and on my receipt it says it's released on Christmas Day hahahaha!

But seriously...I better get it May 20 (in Australia)
