Yep, just need 2-4 gigs of space on the laptop.

Fallout Collection are the games, not the commentary.

Look up some game play videos on Youtube. Fallout Tactics is more linear, you get missions from BoS (since you are a BoS initiate) that you do, and there's not much roleplaying at all, not really many choices in your missions (you go to kill an encampment of raiders, you can't really choose to solve it diplomatically). You sometimes get a choice like free a prisoner or don't, but that is all. Other than the lack of freedom of exploring and doing quests for normal people, and that you shouldn't put points in any skills that don't benefit you in combat, it is also, as the name of the game suggests, very tactical. You control a squad, with your character as the leader, and you can hire more men and women to your squad, equip them and decide where their skill points and perks when they level up, you can set your team in different stances, use a lot of tactics to place them in strategic locations to give covering fire to others in your squad or flank your enemy, and alot of that. There's also a thing called Continuous Turn-Based, kind of a mix of Real Time and Turn-Based. You can move your characters as much as you want, but perform actions like shooting or healing takes AP, and to replenish your AP you gotta stay put behind cover a bit. I think it's the perfect mix of Turn-Based and Real Time. I think Turn-Based can get boring at times, but I do like the idea of AP being important but you still want fast action. Tactics deliver that.

Maybe try GOG.com
They have all three, and you can try one, then try another ~or not.

Tactics is a 'party based' mission game, you are in the Brotherhood, and you do combat missions for them. You make more than one PC.
The turn based combat in Tactics is IMO greatly improved over Fallout's... It also has a realtime option; I've not tried it realtime for more than a few minutes, but I hear (from others) that its almost unplayable. (I don't know).

If you play Fallout, it is old, and has limits, but don't underestimate it. I see game videos of players walking right past things they never realize are there or are even possible. Examine stuff, and look close at everything. I have found stuff that I still don't know what its for (if anything). There is even a concealed door in the Hub that opens up a wall to reveal the back side of an abandoned building (that you could easily walk around ).

Fallout imposes harsh limits on the PC when they are not skilled at things, and the game makes it impossible to be skilled at everything, so if your PC is always failing it is because they are not suited to the task (this might be changeable later, but not always). Fallout usually has three paths to every quest, so if your PC can't do it one way, they can probably do it some other way.

If you can put up with the out of date graphics and turn based system then there worth it. only £10 for all three in my local shop. bargain
