Cell getting chopped in half?

Easiest explanation is the pictures. Notice in the GECK there aren't any sort of occlusion planes or whatever they're called (at least not that I could find...), so any idea's on how to fix this? Seem's like its some sort of rendering issue since when I was flying around other parts of the level I noticed somewhat similar effects, thought they obviously get around it somehow, I'm sure/hoping I can get around it but I don't know how.

Also where it looks like I'm TCLing in the pictures I'm not, I'm actually standing on solid ground/collision, it's just not being rendered.

I'm not sure but maybe that has something to do with objects not appearing when they're supposed to. In one thread someone mentioned that turned the light off and then on again, or vice versa, would fix that and it seems to work. Maybe try that. Other than that I haven't a clue.

Hmm alright, usually when this happens its due to room portals. Did you copy an existing cell, delete everything in it, then make your stuff? If so, then you probably did not delete the room bounds and portals, which tell the game not to render things you can see, to improve performance in demanding cells. Simply click View on the top toolbar in the geck, then Show/hide window, then check the box next to 'Portals and Rooms'. I am guessing a bunch of giant black boxes and planes will appear all over your cell, just delete all of these and your problem should go away.

Belanos, the thing where you hit A to toggle bright lights is for in the geck, when you minimize it or open the game with it open, it will stop rendering a bunch of stuff. That just makes it re-render it, but wont effect ingame where his problems occur.

The room markers are big blueish boxes and deleting them will also remove any portals (small blackish planes connecting between two room markers). So just highlight each room marker and hit the delete key.

Bah, thank you it was the room markers, that was the first thing I thought of when I saw that but I checked literally every view menu/toolbar box to bring them up (because it's been forever since I used the GECK and couldn't remember how to show them) and I just figured they didn't use them in that cell or something .

Thanks a ton!
