What do you love about Fallout Series Discussion?

I love this forum because you don't have the:

FNV Rox har har har group, or the

FO3 rox har har har group.

We have calm collected people who can argue. Now, I prefer FNV and FO1 because they are great Fallout games. I like FO3, but its not nearly at the top of my list. But I do have to say It was my first Fallout game.

What I like about it is that we are talking about the Fallout series as a whole. What is better then that? :fallout:

Also the bulk of the people on here are great. :foodndrink:

Most people don't realize this, but good grammar is very important when trying to make an argument, or simply getting an idea across. Without it, it makes getting some form of respect very hard as most people don't want to try and anolyze a statement any longer than need be.

It's true. Personally, whenever I see bad grammar consistently I read it similarly to how Harry sounds.

I love the aspect of simply traveling in the wasteland. I love the moral decisions. I love the varying degrees of conflict, from things like "Please! Help me find my dog!" to a remnant of the U.S. government that wants to kill everyone. I love the appropriately absurd mutants. There are others I don't feel like listing.

EDIT: Ha, I just realized that it was "What you love about Fallout Series discussion" and not "What you love about the Fallout Series".

Well, pretty much the same reasons as everyone else.

I like it here because I can get away with making annoying jokes and obscure references.

Agreed, but what really annoys me is the forumers who get so offended when people challenge their alignment
I.E. "Fallout New Vegas was a great game"
OMFG NO NO NO NO NO NO, FALLOUT 2 FTW, NOOB, GTFO!

Yeah, those people.

Eh, personally, I get a kick out of FO1&2 diehards; reminds me of how people were kicking and screaming about Starcraft going to 3D way back when. :P

This board is nice because it retains a frame of reference on where the series has come from, and allows those games to stay relevant in discussions about the current state and future of the Fallout franchise.

All for intelligent discussion, but logic and intelligence can fall apart sometimes by some not understanding a game, or arguing for the sake of it, or not immersing enough into a game to fully understand it, making claims that the game is other than it really is... but I don't want to start an argument (smile).

IF you change it to FO3 instead of NV then you are making a much better argument, NV is pretty accepted by the old guard...;)

Pretty much. We just want something that more accurately portrays what Fallout IS, and not what seems like to some bystander. NV does that quite well.
