well i recently clean out my oblivion game deleting all mods nd ect. but now when i go to play the game the start new game button doesnt work,i cant load a saved game because it says the master files arent loaded,in my oblivion game launcher the mods i uninstalled are still showing in the mod list but i deleted everything outa the data folder that belong to the other mods....and i dont want to uninstall the game because i do not have the cd anymore but i didnt delete anything that originally was installed with the game also i had my game updated to 1.2 version now it says the 1.0 or whatever it wont install the newer patch an error message come up any help please i would really like to play it again free of any mods.......

You could give http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20258 a try. Also, it may help to delete you oblivion.ini. I don't know why mods would still show in the launcher after you deleted them. It shouldn't do that. Possibly a UAC problem?

Somethings not right here. You can't play the game without the disc. It sounds like a pirate version to me. Go buy the game.

You need to clean install to fix the problem, I'd imagine.

Without the disc, you can't do that.

Without the disc, you really should not be able to play at all at the moment.

I think you'll be in serious trouble unless you reacquire the disc, or repurchase the game.

i had the game i have the game of the year edition but all i have is the 2nd disc thats shivering isles and kotn...and that reason i can launch the game without the cd because i have a (launch oblivion without cd patch that i found looking up my problem on google

Unfortunately, such patches violate the EULA for the game, and discussing them violates the TOS of this board. It's a legal thing and gamesas has to protect itself.

If your game is as messed up as it sounds, you'll need the original disc to fix it. I'm sorry we can't be of more help.

You just have to extract the package anywhere and run it. If you are using Vista or Windows 7 you may need to run as administrator.

Click 'Browse' at the top beside where it says 'Oblivion Directory' and find the directory where you installed the game.
