Oh, come now, don't be rude. Just because he's new doesn't mean you have to be like that.

Greetings, Reckoned, and welcome to Tes RPing. Let me be the first to tell you that around here, we take literature and roleplaying more seriously than most, our RPs generally have the same standards as many publishing companies. It's a strange community, but a fun one, if you know how to play the game. And trust me, the game is very much worth playing; it can be great fun.

But of course, like any game, our roleplays have rules. These rules are, for the most part, in the best interests of the RPers, and are generally standard across the board. So, without further adu, here are a few things you should know about us:

We all aspire to use correct spelling and grammar. This not only makes your posts more intelligable, but it makes you look far more professional and trustworthy. How can we players trust a host that can't write a sentence without mucking up half the words?

Details, details, details. If we don't have the details we can't get interested, we won't get pulled in to your RP. For the most part we require a plot of some kind, for starters. If you take a look around there are several very excellent RPs that have been very well thought out with engaging plots and exciting storylines.

Reputation. I hate to say it, but in order to secure the best RPers you must have a reputation for excellence. In order to be accepted into the best RPs, you must have a long history of good roleplaying. Such a reputation can be aquired through grammatically correct posts, excellent RPing, or delightfully crafted fan fictions. We don't expect anyone to be a master overnight, but if we can see you are making an effort to improve everyone will recognize you.

You have to care. If you don't care enough to follow the rules of syntax and punctuation, how can we be expected to care enough to join you RPing? We take much of this very seriously (sometimes too seriously, methinks) and we would appreciate our peers doing the same.

You must be cordial and respectful. This isn't so much a rule for RPing as a general part of living in a society. Respect others, treat them as you would like to be treated, etc. etc. Not everyone follows this rule, but you should at least try to.

Thanks, I'm sure you'll do well :goodjob: Good luck!

PS I wouldn't try hosting an RP until you have participated in a few. I believe our good friend Solidor plans to create one soon, perhaps you can ask him if you can participate?
