I've got all addons and already have both the normal plasma pistol and the MPLX novasurge.

Thing is I really like the way the novasurge looks and was thinking about using it (just as a graphic replacer) for the plasma pistol.

I have a few questions though....what actual meshes and textures would I need to change? Also, are there any sound files I need/should/can change? I have FWE and EVE and have no idea how to take those two mods into account when it comes to the textures and meshes.

Also, if I did change just the textures and meshes and so on, what would happen when adding wep mod kits and the like do? Would that cause any probs?

All you have to do is go into the geck and find the mplx novasurge and pull up it and then pull up the normal plasma pistol go to the art&sound tab and find out what mesh the mplx novasurge uses, and use the same mesh for the regular plasma pistol. as far as mod kits, I don't know if there will be any issues there, but it couldn't hurt to try

Just an fyi, but we also use the model of the MPLX for another weapon in FWE, the plasma glock, which can be found in shops, on some enemies and it can be modded with weapon mod kits.

I wouldnt really advise you to change the default plasma pistol model like this, because as soon as you attach a weaponmodkit it will revert to the standard plasma pistol, unless you change every single weaponmodkit variant of it as well.

He's talking about the FWE version. In FWE unique weapons have unique models/textures.
