i madeup a little theory awhile ago, it was that the founders are the people who are controlling both factions, they made the security be oppressive while making them think their doing the right thing, while making the resistance commit terrorist acts while also making them think their doing the right thing, plunging them into a civil war, to reduce the population down to an amount that the ark can sustain.
Well that's my theory,
That's kind of similar to what I'm thinking. There must be more to the story than meets the eye.... at least, I hope it will be....? :poke:
Yes I agree there. I'm no scientist to know how much the sea would rise. But total loss of comunication is very very strange. The sea wouldn't rise in a moment, it would take years for the ice caps to melt, which should give some time for people to relocate. And even if major infrastructures were destroyed (electricity, water, etc), why wouldn't there be someone with like a satelite phone or something. I'm just saying, the rise of sea level doesn't look like a extinction event, catasthrophic yes, but not extinction. Anyway, looking forward to how they explain it ingame

It IS kind of weird to have no communications whatsoever....so we will see?

Oh, wait, what I am thinking? It's a FPS :gun: , lol, most FPS's (I'm sure there's a couple of exceptions to this, though) I have seen don't really have a coherent or satisfying or rational plot (see: CoD and Killzone 3, lol)...
It's like the Transformers (it's ALWAYS the same thing: Decepticons vs. Autobots), but with both sides being morally gray and thinking they are the good guys, heh.
I am HOPING there's a deeper plot, but I'm not holding my breath.
