Project Beauty HD

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 7:15 pm

Well, I've seen Project Beauty HD, which seems to be a great mod, but I was bummed out when I read it was incompatible with FOOK2. Even though I used to love FOOK, I've lost the magic associated with it, and 1.1 is way too buggy for me, and is incompatible with a lot of my "big" mods. I'm considering ditching FOOK2 until Project Beauty releases a CP for FOOK2 1.1 and when the beta is over. What do you guys think?

Ditch it. Project Beauty is great, and FOOK is getting tiresome and old. Adding 200 weapons and costumes isn't considered an overhaul for me. And since its incompatible with many much better mods, more reason to. But you can always get Beauty now, try it without FOOK, along with other mods, if unsatisfied go back to FOOK.

Mooguy is being unfair to FOOK2. It does a whole lot more than just add armor and weapons.

Project Beauty, on the other hand, only does one thing: change NPC appearances. It does that very very well, in my opinion, but that is all it does.

If you want your game overhauled AND want the new NPC looks, you'll either have to check in with the FOOK2 guys and see what's what regarding possible compatibilities, OR change to a different overhaul, like FWE, which does support Project Beauty.

Well, after giving it some thought, I've decided to hold off of PB HD for another two weeks, before I decide to leave FOOK2 until 1.1 is completed (and thus, the Project Beatuy HD CP will be released). I'll miss my M1911. Of course, Burpo's M1911 is always a substitute...

gothemasticaor.

Project Beauty is not compatible with FWE.

The old version of PB, and the old version Compability patch with an old version of FWE apparantly works, but thats it.

Project Beauty, changes NPC's yes, but that also includes the player character ;).

I have had to Shelve Project Beauty for now, till its compatible with FWE.

Project Beauty is compatible with anything out there.
Compatbility is a bit missunderstood word. If you use Project Beauty with FWE or FOOK2 it will work fine, as long as you load it BEFORE the FWE and FOOK2 files(which they should always do, even when you use the FOIP patches)

What happens is simply that some of the new faces won't appear and instead the old ones will be used, because FWE and FOOK2 override some NPCs. But nothing will blow up, crash or bug out if you use PB with either of those file.

The only thing the PB FOIP patches do is restore the PB faces to NPCs that are overriden by MMM and FWE, nothing else.
