So the simple premise is the same: A ghost town has been recovered in southern Skyrim, just over the mountains north of Bruma. After a hunter stumbled upon it unwittingly, rumors spread of the empty town full of ebony--even though other accounts of this state that there was no ebony among the hunter's spoils, though the town was once an ebony mining village. What secrets does this quiet little mining town hide?
I'm just going to note this once: this won't be a very lore friendly roleplay, but then, who really gives a damn when you're out to have fun?
Most of the puzzles will require some thinking and connecting the dots and searching the same tired places over and over again, though I do recommend players stay together--and if things become too unruly I'll try to help things out via DMPC. Secondly, I recommend a good mix of characters, both magic and melee and thief--all will have their uses. I also promise not to axe characters right and left, though there may be death involved.
Character sheets would have a new addition to them: Fear (1) and Vices (1-2). Examples: Spiders/Greed, Lust; Water/Wrath, Gluttony. These are supposed to be broad, sweeping things (or things that can be translated to broad sweeping things [ie, skooma addiction could translate to gluttony and lack of self will]), and not miniscule things that you may just have well not bothered to write--I have to be able to work with them to create a fun (Hopefully) setting. If you have questions about what exactly this kind of thing would mean RP wise, PM me--for those who want it left a mystery.
Further; this would focus more on the GAME aspect of roleplaying rather than the collaborative story aspect, though I'm hoping both will be incorporated well--imagine werewolf as a full RP game rather than just a game--in the same manner, you can search certain things, try to take certain things, but do not simply state that you search and find something--while treasures are in a set spot in my notes, and yes, some of them are in plain view, some of them have reactions to being touched. Instead, PM me that you wish to search X (be specific, do you want to search the bed, the desk, the floor the walls, the ceiling?) or take Y, and I would reply to you stating exactly what you find or what happens when you take Y, from which you would write your post. It may be much more involved, but at the same time, it would help to preserve the collaborative writing aspect, as simply posting you search X removes that fun stuff.
I was hoping some of y'all could help me both polish out this idea as well as work on creating an easy way for this kind of functionality to be implemented--voice whatever opinions you may have.
