Hey all,

I'm working on a town worldspace but i'm having a few problems with my worldsapce.

The first 1 is the biggest:

It seems that my view is limited. Cliffs and objects beyong a serten range disapear. It seems like some kind of fog

To be honest my default landmass height is 0 and my water 1000 but i hope it has to do anythign with that.

the second problem is a texture problem. I havent really been using heck for a half year and cant remember if there was a way to fix this. I cant seem to use the
texture brush on some square's in GECK.

1. You need to create LOD for your worldspace.

2. When in landscape mode 'H', press the 'I' key. You only have a limited number of textures you can use per quad in a cell.
Never delete the first texture in each quads list.

On another note, you should set your default land height to 10000 and water height to 10500. Otherwise you could have trouble with your water rendering.

thnx for the quick reply.

Hmm yeah makes sense sinds i have never made such a large world space that i need to create a lod. Wont make it until i'm done though.
yeah i know about the heights but i forgot them this time and noticed this until i was half way making the town. I tried to redo the height but that only made thigns worse sinds i would have to redo everything :(

Well if the ground for the whole worldspace (whats done so far) is relatively flat, you could just make the other worldspace (with proper height) then copy/paste all the buildings over, so everything is in the same spot, you just have to tweak the ground under it. It would take a bit of time, but not that much.

Ok thats good. But for future reference, incase the water ever randomly does start looking all messed up, you can just lower it and then place a placable water piece there intead of using the natural water. (Provided its a rather small pool of water, at biggest like 50x50 feet.)
