lol, i have my character - a rouge/theif :D

I was wondering if westly would be intrested in some changes???

basically i added the ability "Hobbit Skin" to the hobbits. Hobbits are suposed to be naturally resistent to magic, and the reason why Froddo lasted against the dark lord was his resistence to the Rings power......

Anyway i added:

- Fortify Willpower 10pts
- Resist Magic 20pts

Also if anyones intrested there are Froddo, merry, pipin and sam faces out there.......if we ask nicly Westly might add them to the mod?? Pwese :)

As far as the resistances, I could add those to the DL easy enough (if they are so desired).
As for the faces, they are already included (in essence in my style).

I was also planning on adding a small island home for the Halflings to inhabit, but
wanted to go ahead and release the race before something happened to my computer
(as can happen when nearing the storm season here).

I go as far as making a http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Halflings/Halfling_Door1.jpg before moving onward out of necessity.

Be careful, creating halfling characters may become hobbit-forming....

I like this mod! It looks great but one thing is itching the back of my mind. Halfling =/= Hobbit, but whatever. Keep up the great work!

Sure, it is fine to translate the .esp for this one (as well as the Half Races .esp).

Also, PM me the links to all of these once you have them translated and I will add them
to the first posts of the individual mod's threads :) .

Oh my! Dungeons and Dragons comes to Vvardenfell! Very nice, Westly - they'll be a great alternative to those evil Bosmer whenever I need to make a Rogue-type character. :)

Just a quick Question, Westly... I also have a mod in which I had intended there to be halflings (or perhaps Kender), but I'd put the whole development of the race on hold due to the issues involving getting them through doorways and up stairs.

How in the world did you resolve that?

I simply set the halfling height to the very minimum setting above
the number where the doorway/stair glitch occurs.

Additionally, if one wants a race to appear even more diminutive, then
adjusting the other races' heights/weights "upwards"(proportionally), then
that would make the desired race appear even more short in stature (its all
about perspective, really). I did not apply this method in this mod, but
it is a viable possibility.

Ah, I see. My halflings, such as they are, are set beneath the lower threshhold, but it really makes them too small. Yours is undoubtedly the better solution. :)

I have a playable version of the fairy race that is tiny, perhaps 6" tall, and there are some speed issues and collision issues, but they work out quite well. It's just that halflings seemed to fall into a no man's land, at once too tall and too short for my purposes.

I'm looking forward to playing yours...

Edit: By the way, that's a good idea, making others taller, that is. If you don't me using the idea, I'll try it.

So I was playing Arcanum, and I was in the mood to install this mod once again, however there are two issues that have always bugged me, and I was wondering if they could be addressed?

1)First, I noticed that when using certain types of BB clothing, namely pants or greaves, there's some terrible clipping around the ankle region, as shown in this http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/9051/halflingankleclip.jpg. Would it be possible to shrink/narrow the ankle while still retaining the large feet atypical of a halfling? Or would it mess everything up? I can live with this issue if that's the case, just thought this needed to be pointed out.

2)Lastly, and this one is rather annoying, I noticed that Halflings are still able to wear any sort of footwear, which just doesn't make sense considering the size of their feet. I mean, if Argonians and Khajiit are unable to wear boots or shoes, I'd imagine that Halflings should have this limitation as well. Of course, I don't even know if it's possible to script a humanoid race to have the beast-races limitations, so forgive me if I sound too harsh.

Anyway, thanks for the great mod Westly :) Keep up the good work!

EDIT: Just noticed that the first issue was already referenced in the readme :blush2: Please feel free to ignore it..
