what if you activate the G.E.C.K? : Fallout 3

i remember seeing the option "activate G.E.C.K " when went & got it for da BoS.....i wanted to get the [censored] out already so i dident press that....so what if i activated the G.E.C.K?

It just means that you have grabbed it, and it's now a quest item.
