So what things do you just go crazy to collect?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 3:24 pm

Like you see it and you just have to grab it. It doesn't matter if you don't have room, it doesn't matter how impracticable it is...you just can't say no to it's alluring glow. For me it has to be all of the toys. Especially the teddy bears and the Nuka-cola trucks. I will take Buffout just so I can cart those lovelies home and fill my house with them. So what completely impracticable things do you just have to have in this game?

Teddy Bears - but I really grab everything that isn't nailed to the ground. The bears I save though, while I sell the scorched books and empty bottles.

I also have a healthy collection of pencils and pre-war money.

On my latest character, I started to collect skill books instead of reading them. I had the feeling on previous characters that the skillbooks (in addition to the adequate perk) made things by far too easy too early in the game.

Bottlecaps. People even swap stuff for them in shops. Crazy eh!

Nuka cola for sure. The plan is always to get the quantum chemist perk later on, but I have never gotten that far.

This seems pretty similiar to my topic. On topic, I like to collect stuff that I think would look good in my house.

Toasters and Gum drops, for the most part. The pristine toasters that you find in vaults are somewhat of a holy grail item to me.

I like collecting mission rewards and using them as decorations. I have old painless on my shelf next to Mr. Burke's glasses and the PA from that guy in Oasis on the top shelf. Just things that remind me of missions. I have a huge collection now, ghoul mask and Vault 101 jumpsuit there as well.

I also like to collect random junk like basketballs and emptybottles and sell them when I remember they can't due anything.

I tend to be very practical and collect nothing except what I really need to survive. Early on in the game I`ll take everything to sell, but that`s all.

Anything that has no obvious use or nothing that I can think of I, take and store, it often turns out useful later on or is a quest item, apart from that I am er normal (oh how dull).

Metro tickets are useful I realised later, if you have the right ticket the Protecteron ticket robot says something like "ok you have a ticket, carry on"

Teddy bears. Every character. Even my evil character collected them. They always go on my bed. I had a raider themed house in Tennpenney with around 20 bears on my bed.

Pre-war money. I like to stack in near a safe or on a desk. Makes me feel like Tony Montana.
