So I was thinking...

(This isn't an advertisemant, I am not posting any URLs, just mentioning...) I run a post-nuke roleplaying site that is fairly successful and relatively enjoyable, and was thinking about doing similar for BRINK when I can consume some more canon. Now my sites aren't free-hosting rubbish things with random domain names, they're legit sites, and I was wondering if anyone else would be interested?

Some interested character concept images for the roleplay could be taken from your in-game character and stuff like that, it has the potential to be awesome.

Also the whole Resistance vs Security thing just screams conflict opportunity.

Anyways, I probably sound like a mad man, so feel free to hate on me as well, that's cool.

There was one of these a couple of months ago then it died off. Go wild in my opinion.

It's certainly piqued my interest, but to tell the truth I don't have a whole lot of experience with true roleplaying. I've never LARPed or carried on in an RP forum (mostly just browsed them). The closest experience I have to what you're talking about is playing a MUD called Achaea, and I honestly don't know how much that qualifies.

Oh, I see. Well I worked the roleplay section for one of the Metro 2033 forums before it was hacked, as well as now maintain my own site, so when the game comes out it will be a good indicator to me of whether or not it is likely to become a good roleplaying platform.

I am quite interested, but they haven't even released yet.

Well I am actually a huge RP player as is my wife (although she wont touch this game with a 10 foot pole) so i am always interested in RP... I would love this game to have some RP community although I dont really see that happening?

I think it's a cool idea. sometimes these things translate really well if you have the right direction behind them. I tried getting a Magic:The Gathering-style Borderlands card game to catch on, but I guess no one is into those card games anymore .

Go for it, but i suggest waiting AFTER the games release so people know the story and such, and i mean the whole story not just what we are given now. Good luck. :thumbsup:

Well personally I was thinking RP right of the bat with this game.... its got an atmosphere that oozes RP to me.. I was hoping to play more of a paranoid schitzophrenic, bigger body type, with the psycho mask kit, kind of character. I feel with all these people stuck on this island fighting for resources there are bound to be some people that simply lose it mentally.

I was in an RP guild in WoW that had more of a cult feel to it so something similar in this possibly? Anyhow I hope the fps community that these games draw doesnt turn me of RP.

In my age at this point (32 lol) i cannot compete with the younger crowd which is why I turn to other things like RP to keep me interested.

To the OP.. what is your website? I would like to take a look.
