Hockler vs Caesar

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:17 am

The only weapons you won't be able to silence (it wouldn't make much sense) would be the super-heavy weapons like grenade launchers and shotguns. And also you, hopefully, won't be allowed to silence the mini-gun.

Don't worry about being caught between one or the other because the weapons at least will be available as unlocks later in the game, probably as high level weaponry.

You can silence shotguns. On the ready and able trailer that they released yesterday, at about 20 seconds in, the guy has a silencer on his shotty.

Revovler all the way: its universal for assault, sniping, spec-ops, and support

Think about it... Team Fortress 2 has possibly the most revered assassin, who just so happens to use a revolver. Im not in it for the damage (i have pre-ordered the Fallout theme, anyways), but it seems like itd be much nicer than spammy machine pistols. Ive always been one for precision. Thus, the revolver's slow rate of fire, long reload time, small ammo capacity, high recoil, but high damage calls out to me, say "Every Shot Counts!!!"

One one hand I love revolvers, but on the other hand the Caesar /is/ pretty small as far as revolvers go. I vote Hockler.

In apb, (an mmo 3rd person shooter with similar fast shooting pistols vrs slow shooting revolvers) the revolver was the better choice for ranged, poking in and out of combat, while the fast firing pistol was best for close range, hectic movement heavy hopping etc.

The revolvers were also good in close combat, but punished the player heavily for missing, while more effective at range, usually that made the revolvers the better over all choice, giving players with the ability to aim, or aimbots extreme advantages over the less utility based machinegun pistol users (still for close range the machine gun pistol was more reliable)

I don't think we're in a position to be picking what is the most adequate choice for our arsenal when we aren't even in the base yet.

I have to give it to the Caesar, just because I like revolvers and because it's from Amazon. It would have been perfect if Amazon had the Fallout pack with a Caesar revolver. Hockler might win out just because the pack it comes from isn't ridiculous looking.

Well since I have my rifle for ranged shooting the machine pistol seems the better for hectic close up work, also so I can get in knife range.

A true point, but speculation is fun, I mean how many of those people who think they want to play operative actually will? Preconcieved notions of ninjalike immortality swept away in a hail of lead.

I want the Caeser because I'm hoping it will be the most powerful handgun in the game. Because I plan on playing as a light player most of the time, and lights can only use pistols as their sidearm, I want something with a bit of a kick to backup my SMG.

Jeeze... just thinking about it makes me weak in the knees.

In APB the revolver was also a pocket-sniper. <_<

True, but it is nonetheless a machine pistol. Like I said, lights can only use light weapons, and I'm planning on using some kind of SMG. I don't want two machineguns
