If Obsidian makes another Fallout game where would you want

It's taken me a minute to get used to, but hey, everyone has their personality and we're all here to discuss and celebrate Fallout, so play on, PJ.

And though I realize the Burned Game was set in Texas, were a canon main series game to take place there, it would be long after the events of the other (2281+ vs. 2208). I recommend Texas because a) there are numerous historical places, b ) there are wide prairies, deserts, and temperate zones, so a diverse environment, and c) there are huge [censored] cities, so a lot of urban exploration. Also, Carbon could pop up and have some redeeming quality. Just my 2 cents.

Sorry John, but I can't take your posts seriously when you type them like you're in an RP.
Was interesting at first but now it just confuses me.

(if you have any questions, just ask, doing rp is stress relief for me after a hard day, and it is fun, sorry if it is confusing)

If Obsidian makes the next game I'd like it to be 5-10 years after the war began to get back to that desolate post war atmosphere. If not, they may as well let Maxis make it.

Bethesda has said that the games will only move forward in time.

I'd like to see it set in Texas too, and before anyone *coughs* at me I would like to point something out.

"The burned game" never happened, it isn't canon. So who cares if a game that never happened, took place there. If it never happened then how come people say you can't set one there. It wouldn't interfere with anything that didn't happen from the game that didn't happen, because it didn't happen.

So as a fallout game HAS NEVER been set in Texas, I think that would be a good place for a future Obsidian game to take place.

Anyway, the next Obsidian game should follow up on New Vegas and canonize certain major events, one event which HAS to be canonized is; which of the four paths were the one that The Courier followed?
Wether or not Primm had Meyer, NCR or Slim as law or none at all completely depends on how Obsidian wishes to do it.
If there is no reason to tell us what happened to Primm then so be it yknow, shouldn't "force" the canonization of minor or moderate events if it has no place in the game. (That is up to the Fallout Bible if it's ever taken up again.)
But I do think that Obsidian should canonize as much as possible from FO1, 2 and NV as long as it fits in the new game.
Therefor I want the next game to take place near Vegas.
My personal favorite would be for Arizona to be the major setting but if that's not going to happen then I'd like to move up north.
I want a Fallout game with heavy emphasis on snow instead of dirt and sand like in the rest of the games. (Skyrim With Guns, Obsidian style! :toughninja: )

I was recently thinking that myself. Whilst I didn't particularly like O:A, I definitely liked the general aesthetics of the setting.

http://blog.parpg.net/ It's not Fallout (nor made by Obsidian), but it's pretty close to the originals anyway... so far...

They can accomplish that with a game set just about anywhere from the midwest towards west. For example, if the followers move east, or legion remnants fleeing eastward, bos, etc you're gonna know canon ending. Actually, I hope Beth let's us know canon ending before obsidian makes another game. I mean dur, if FO 4 in say 2 years, and next obsidian game 1 or 2 after that you saying we gotta wait 4 years to find out what canon? Lol, meh. Figure it out for FO4 me says.

Obsidian = west coast
Bethesda = east coast

I like that idea too. Stick to what you know. It doesnt need to be in arizona because we already had a desert game, thats enough for a while. A frozen desert would be nice. Utah would be a nice place. They already have caravans and Utah itself has breath taking landscapes. Salt lake could bring strange creatures and Im sure the Mourmon religion can play a role too. Alot of potential for conflict and Im getting bored of the western cowboy, southern accents, so heading towards the midwest would be lovely. The only downfall is that Utah isnt a very good marketable name. No one really cares about Utah, lol.

Obsidian and Bethesda will do well known states and cities which is why you will never see Fallout: North Dakota(Arizona, montana, wisconsin, idaho, iowa, yall know the rest). I predict Obsidian will make a fallout game either back somewhere in California, New Mexico, Mexico or I guess Utah. Thats about it unless they go to illinois or michigan, but I dont think they will.I think a frozen tundra can be just as apocalyptic as a desert which has been done to death.

Also...can we see some precipitation? Something tells me that seeing a bombed city beneath a thounder storm would be an amazing sight

*Whilst investigating whether this Gecko is hiding his treasure from me* I kinda like it. I know your hiding it! Admit it! Quit trying to bite me and talk!

Made me laugh :rofl:

Anyways I like the idea of

Obsidian = west coast
Bethesda = east coast

But there are problems. First there has to be a common ground because they are sill in the Fallout Universe and will share elements of canon. They can't be completely different worlds with little to know mentions of one another IMO. I don't like the Idea of having Original Fallouts in the West and TES clones in the East.

Then there is the biggest problem of all. Who gets the Midwest?...... Someone get Micro Forté on the phone!
