at about 28-30, i think he dives or crouches really low, or something like that. Can someone clarify this.

Going prone is not possible, but you can slide or crouch.

He was actually knocked down by a grenade. The icon at the bottom shows an avatar on his back with his gun raised.

I think there should be prone. I would make the game more life like and also would be good for watching bombs of command posts.
