Also is it possible that Skyrim or any future TES game would be so massive it would be released on two discs?

I actually asked this myself at one point. The question is, with an open world game, where would you split it? In a game like ours, you're constantly bouncing all across the map, so it's not like there's a natural place to gate the second disc. (And if you had to swap discs every time you crossed an arbitrary line in the world... ouch.)

If you think about games that ship on multiple discs, they're all either very linear or most of their asset usage is. Since you could encounter (for the most part) any piece of content in any order, we can't predict when a good time to do the disc swap would be.

Excellent question.

*snip*

Well, in the future I guess it will be more normal to install the game on your consoleharddrive, and only use one disc to play with(to comfirm that you actually got the game).

Yes but the PS3 being on bluray, and the PC on the HDD/SDD ect the only weak link would be the 360; couldn't you just have the xbox owners install the game on there Hdd and thus bypass the issue.

The issue is room... i personally only have the 20gb hdd... so installing a game is a dumb idea cause it uses whats left of my hdd...

and yes i do have around 20gb of game info and other stuff i want and need to keep...

that would be a deterrent but idk how many people only have the 20gb hdd...

I have a 250 gigabyte hard drive for my Xbox, I wouldn't mind installing one disc and having the other in the tray. ME2 had two discs but you could install both of them and still need to switch between them.

Does Bethesda has a "Bring your child at work" day? A.k.A: The day where you must a keep an eye on the little ones so they don't start pressing random buttons everywhere, or erasing those precious graphs on the boards.

We have a Summer Fun Day of sorts (not at the office) where employees will bring their family. There's even a petting zoo.

Outside of that, it's not uncommon to see family members in the cafeteria around lunch time.

Note to self: dress up as a family member of one of the BGS staff and steal a copy of Skyrim while they're all having lunch. :shifty:
