Help for a Noob

I've been trying to make a mod that adds a new plantation to Elsweyr Deserts of Anequina. However, when saved and reloaded the new ESP will not generate any of the minor changes I have made to the original Elsweyr mod and will not display any of the meshes and textures from it that I have used either, leaving a few vanila objects that I did use floatig in the sky.
I know I've clearly done something wrong, and I'm reading up on de-isolation as I write this.
Does anyone have any extra help they can give me though.

Did you make the changes to the original Elsweyr mod? Like you selected one of it's parts as "active"? Or did you select the Elsweyr's .ESM as non-active, and made a new mod, that when being saved for the first time the CS whines about whether you wanted to save it as a new file or something?

Actually never mind, I've sold the problem. I esmified Elsweyr using Wrye Bash and the new file actually remembers my changes.
Thanks for the reply anyway.
